AF and bisoprolol

Was diagnosed with above a month ago and awaiting treatment. Meanwhile doc has put me on double bisoprolol (2.5) and Apixaben blood thinner. Pulse rate remains from 90 to 140 with rapid incrrease even just walking across the room. Bisop does not seem to help. Any ideas?

Hi I was at a&e just over 8 weeks ago was given apixaban and biosprolol within 24 hrs my heart rate went too low so my GP took me of the biosprolol,I am waiting for an appointment to see a cardiologist and hope I do not have to go back on it,so my advice would be make appointment to see your GP,hope you get it sorted quickly

5.5 years ago I ended up in hospital and was put on a 4 different tablets ( BP 214/124) including 2.5 bisoprolol the rate came down a bit but over the following 9 months increased to 6.25 and total of 7 different types of tablet now BP at a normal level. I understand that they cannot put people on the high level in one go. I have no medical knowledge but suspect that the amount will be increased over the next few months to a year to find the correct level for you. All the best
