I changed from Ramipril to Candesartan because of side effects of the former, and at least one of those side effects has greatly improved after just 2 weeks.
Ace-Inhibitors and ARBs protect the heart, so if your GP recommends it, then I'd be inclined to try it.
My Dr has just changed me to Losartan from Ramipril which had many side effects including cough & blocked nose. I am hoping I will do better on Losartan. Your posts are very reassuring. Good luck babarhom & others xxx
I was switched last year from ramipril to losartan due to irritating cough, I was on 100mg but recently reduced to 50mg having lost some weight and feeling dizzy with low BP but seem to be pretty stable at around 125/85 hr 68
I am new to the site so a novice to replying. I was put on losarton 18 yrs ago After a heart bypass, I find no side effects and lately discovered it protects your kidneys. So Good luck with it
