Hi

Which blood thinner can you stop taking after a year? I’m so sick of all the bruises and pronounced veins 😩

Clopidogrel is usually given for a year too. Gunsmoke - I started on Ticagrelor but side effects made my life miserable. So changed and within a week felt hugely better. The Ticagrelor is the newer drug of the two. In my rehab group the cardiac nurses didn;t seem to get the irony when a large number of us were complaining about shortness of breath and they said "that's the Ticagrelor, they should tell you about that in hospital when they prescribe it; it's almost inevitable"!!!!!! Many people do well on it though, it's just if you don;t it;s pretty horrible.

Right so you have to take Aspirin forever? I’m on Prasugrel now instead of Ticagrelor, but it’s only marginally better 😕. I just feel like a shell of a person it’s so lame.

On the subject of "Tigers Claws", as I call it. I spoke to a pharmacist yesterday who said that there hasn't been any official facts that it does any good.

Hi, l am on lifelong warfarin with pacemaker and AVR but recently thanks to google l found a great solution to mossi bites. Apply Vicks vapo rub on all your pulse sites, also put a opened jar on the table when you have a barbecue all bitey things hate the smell and do a u turn. lt takes time to get used to the smell yourself but is definitely worth it. Take care, Sue.

Aw no that’s really bad. I mean you could say it’s worth it up to a point but seriously come on it’s hard isn’t it.
