I see it’s been announced today that Mick Jagger is to have a heart valve replacement! I wish him luck and if he needs any advice or comforting thoughts from this community I’m sure he will be welcome. All the best Mick 👍

As a big Stones fan I wish him all the best and a speedy recovery. I have seen the Stones a number of times - the last in Hyde Park 2013. On a hot day his fitness impressed - he seemed cool whilst others were wilting. His fitness should help his recovery and if the BBC are to be believed he will resume touring in July!

Fittest 75 year old on the planet, amazing at Twickenham last year!

Appears it is an AVR and a stent with surgery this week. Apparently it was picked up in a pre-tour medical. If I had to guess which of the Stones would have a heart problem I would have gone for Keith Richards followed by Ronnie Lane. This reminded me of someone who I saw recently who had not seen me since two weeks before my bypass. He said I looked well and that last time time he saw me I looked like Keith Richards on a bad day - TBH I felt like it! :)

After open heart surgery your sleeping patterns make you a Midnight Rambler!

Just heard that Mick has undergone a successful TAVR and is now resting This is a minimally invasive procedure. When I read that he was to undergo OHS and planned to resume touring in June I thought this optimistic even with his level of fitness. Now it makes sense

In case you look in Mick I am sure everyone here wishes you a full and speedy recovery!

So glad it's not 'All over now ' and hoping he doesn't need too much 'Sister Morphine'.

Around a week after his TAVR Mick has posted a picture of himself having a walk in a nearby park. Looks pretty well for 75 and having had surgery!

Just goes to show how sometimes a different or more minor procedure can be beneficial. I know not everyone is a candidate for this type of op but for some it’s a fantastic option. Just hope things continue to go well for Mick 👍
