OK – I admit it I am a Rolling Stones fanatic as are quite a few here. We are all aware of his fitness level and that he works out regularly. However, what is his diet like? Obviously not “burger and beer” based so I thought I would research it.
In the entourage he has both a personal trainer and a nutritionist. His basic diet seems to be based on the Keto principles – low carbs and high protein (basically a low GI one). This consists of the healthy pasta, rice, bread and potato options with plenty of fruit and veg, and mainly fish and chicken making up the main protein sources (in addition to beans and lentils). On tour he ups his carb intake with a pasta meal some hours before a performance to slowly release the energy he needs to typically cover 12 miles during a two hour performance. In fact on tour it appears to veer from Keto to elite athlete diet. He also takes vitamins and cod liver oil, and the occasional alcoholic drink.

Interesting, Michael. I remember a Stones documentary some time ago and Mick does have a GI/Reflux type issue. Gaviscon was mentioned! Anyway, I wish I had half of his energy.
That was never said. The post was about the diet of an incredibly fit 75 year old who is making a speedy recovery from heart surgery even considering it was minimally invasive.
Hi michealjh mick certainly does have some great energy and I used to love watching him years ago his dancing and energy are so uplifting 👍 . I recently just said I think I’ll try the keto diet but I’d really need to look into it as iv just seen advertisements for it. I dont really know a lot about it once iv got a bit of energy I’ll need to read up more on it . I don’t know what age mick is but he’s certainly doing really well I also didn’t know he had heart surgery . Great man take care Micheal jh, I hope you’re doing well 🌹🌹
He is 75 now. When I saw the Stones in Hyde Park (2013) my girlfriend said why do you want to see a load of pensioners? She was then taken aback by his energy on a very hot day!
I often wondered he was suffering from this condition for many years and were on medications. "Minimally invasive" does not exist on older people. Lucky if the complication won't touch him.
But Keith's favourite food is shepherd's pie and the story is that no-one is allowed to break the crust before him!
Have to say, he didn't quite have Jagger's moves at Twickenham last year. Ronnie jumps around like a 2 year old, but I guess he has to keep up with his twin daughters.
