Hi all, I recently had 24hr ECG. It came back with results of left branch bundle block morphology and 14% ectopic burden. What does this even mean? I also have paraxosmal afib.

Thanks in advance.

Hello A After a 24 hour recording on mine it said, is known to have High Burded of Ectopic Beats I presume that should have read Burden, but not sure !! It also said on overnight monitoring, confirmed Multiple Ventricular Ectopic Beats and runs of Bigeminy ( an ectopic every other heart beat) I have an appointment on Tuesday with Cardiologist. Do you have a follow up appointment ? I see a Heart Nurse every couple of Months who keeps an eye on what's going on. My Ectopic beats have become a lot more frequent since having my LAD stented last March. LBBB is to do with the electrical working of the heart I also have LBBB, but does not warrant intervention at this time.!! Hope that helps a little it is difficult not knowing your history.

best regards

Me Again just looked up morphology, because curious to what it meant !!

morphology [mor″fol´o-je]

1. the science of the form and structure of organisms.

2. the form and structure of a particular organism, organ, tissue, or cell. adj., adj morpholog´ic.

I think it is what they look at when carrying out an Echocardiogram i.e shape and structure of the Heart Muscle again I can only offer what I was told, hope someone will be along to offer you more. Or an alternative is to give the BHF Heart Nurse a ring Mon to Fri who will be able to give you a lot more than I can

Thank you for your replies. Mine also said bigeminal cycles too. I'd already had an appointment with my consultant for July. Whether they move it forward I don't know. I've only ever had one episode of afib. My main complaint was the neck pain and tiredness I got with the pvc's. I was initially on Bisoprolol but that made me feel awful. I've since started Diltiazem 240mg and feel much better. I'm guessing it's just masking my symptoms though, and not solving the electrical problem of my heart. Let's see what the future holds. :)

Hi

I am on 10mg Bisoprolol and now Entresto which is a Heart failure medication. I do have Heart Failure which swings around from Severe to Moderate back to Severe. On a Echocardiogram recently it said Left Atrium is Severely Dilated, and Left Ventricle Mildly Dilated. But the Good News is my Right Ventricle is Normal in Size and Function !! EF visual is between 30 - 40 %. And after all that my Ectopic Beats are as bad as ever LOL (before I break down and Cry ) only joking when not short of breath when having a long run of Ectopic beats I feel really pretty good and not at all ill/sick

regards

So I had the appointment with Cardiologist on Tuesday increased Furosemide to 40mg a day from 20mg. Can't change beta blocker already on max 10mg Bisoprolol. So another Holter monitor booked and referred to Electro Physiologist for possible Ablation. Ectopic beats clearly seen on ECG by Heart Failure Nurse she stopped the screen and took a photo copy for the consultant when I had 5 ectopic beats one after the other with no break in between No wonder I sometimes get dizzy ( her comment ) BP is 65/47 HR 52 Haven't felt any benefit from Entresto as yet but here is hoping. Cardiologist very interested in " Heart Pause " but never quite answered question as to what it is, His Answer was it's a Pause ! Don't know if I should be LOL or waiting for another Pause
