ECG Abnormalities
Was this EKG done because of acute or chronic symptoms suspicious of cardiac origin? Those St&T wave abnormalities are most likely nonspecific and could be due to coronary artery disease or other factors like old viral infections, metabolic factors, enlarged ventricles, etc. Comparing any old EKGs would help in determining whether these abnormalities are old and stable of reflect a new process. A cardiologist would be best to evaluate and advise you.
Thanks for your reply the doctor/hospital could not find my other ecg from months ago and having had the ecg in my doctor’s clinic she immediately sent me to hospital for further checks and not to drive there myself. I had another ecg there and the normal blood test for HA but they found all in order and sent me home. I have however got an appointment with a cardiologist in 6 weeks time who after looking at my ecg from doctor/hospital is arranging for an echocardiogram beforehand.Again thank you for your reply
I do think, Avagra, this isn’t a question for this forum.
I have had a negative T wave for many years but without the ST depression.
Hi AvagraI hope you are feeling well.
I also have inverted t-wave on ECG. Luckily l kept previous print outs and they are apparent since my ohs last May.
Back in Bristol Heart Institute on Wednesday for a gated CT scan and Friday for a 72hr heart monitor to be fitted.
I experience chronic pain in chest, shoulders, and neck. Hypotension and edema in left lung which l do not aware if it is linked.
Been asked multiple times if l have been diagnosed with ischaemia so will be following that up on Wednesday.

Hi Hugomum I’m now waiting for an echocardiogram and then further consultation with the cardio doctor at my local clinic.I am still getting intermittent chest pain although it’s not really painful but like a blockage feeling. What is puzzling is why A&E said all was normal with the ecg they took against the abnormal ecg my own doctor had done.My HR and BP are quite normal and apart from the slight chest zaps etc I feel fine. Many thanks for your reply and keep well .
I had 2 ecg in an and e in November . Was told first was normal 2 showed changes ? Even though trop levels were so high they initially thought I had HA , then said I didn’t ? To cut a long story short, angina got worse and ended up with stent in January . Hope your well
I had ST depression on a stress test in 2019. Advised angiogram and had stent placed in LAD. Been fine since.
