From hot to cold

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar symptoms and if so is there anything that can be done to resolve them. I’ve always been a very warm blooded person and hot to the touch but since starting on my meds I’ve noticed that my hands and feet are absolutely freezing 🥶 and feel very cold to the touch, much to the annoyance of my wife. 😬

Any ideas or advice?

Hi there,

could be down to the meds, assume you are on the usual suspects, some of which will thin your blood, making it move round the body easier, this maybe the main reason. I found similar but now a couple of years down the road find my own internal heating works overtime, meaning winter not feeling the cold so much and summer overheating

I have always felt the cold and it is even worse with the medication. The only time I am warm is when the temperature is really high. And as for our heating bills. I can feel freezing and my husband feels as if he is in a sauna! When our daughters come round they complain how hot it is! And I wear so many layers!

I have freezing hands and feet, probably due to bisoprolol, my hands got so cold that I was labelled as having Raynauds syndrome. The Doctor prescribed Nifedipine which has done the trick, I now have pink fingers instead of white fingers with blue finger nails. You could ask your Doctor if it was suitable for you.

Get it checked I was told it’s circulation issues.

Not sure what meds you're on, but, I take warfarin, bisoprolol and losartan, I am very seldom cold!

I will be sat in a t-shirt whilst my hubby has a jumper on and heating on full blast!!

So imo no not the meds! Just your body X we all react differently to so many things X

Hi

Saw the nurse this afternoon and being advised that it’s my meds but I guess you are right in that we are all different. I’ll just get myself some thick socks, a hat and gloves and wrap myself up. 😄

Thanks

Ross
