Why am I getting blood in wee

I am pam pearson i am 69 at weekend. I had a heart attack in June and due to a good cardio rehab team have come in great. Wed saw on tissue blood took turmeric then in sat loads of blood in toilet. Is this due to ramipril or blood thinners.

Absolutely agree with Jo. You should also avoid curcumin as it also magnifies the effect of anti-coagulants. You need to stop taking tumeric now but if bleeding continues see your GP.

I haven't took any more turmeric since Saturday but did seem to ease the pain.

Thank you Pete went to Drs on mon who was getting in touch with the cardiologist. I have today recd an appointment to see a urologist. I think the dr whom I saw didn't really know a lot. I mentioned rivarauxaban and ramipril but didn't say anything.

Blood thinners particularly rivaroxaban are noted for this. Hope you resolve the problem with the urologist. Best wishes Pete

Most likely blood thinners but may be urinary tract infection. Please see a doctor.

Also check it is not from haemorrhoids

I did go to see the Dr back again mo day gone see above reply. Thank you all for your advice. Dr did end up saying it could be the thinners.
