I had a heart attack 12 months ago when a single stent was fitted. Otherwise I am very fit & active. I'm looking for advice on travel insurance to cover cruising different parts of the world

I would suggest StaySure and AllClear as a starting point. Cruises can be tricky because of the cost of evacuating from a ship! Including the US racks up costs!

Did some googling through BHF and other sites - found an agency called Orbis Insurance Services and have been insured through them for 5 years now. Very reasonable for worldwide (and other groupings) orbisinsurance.co.uk. I’d suggest phoning 01274 518 393 rather than the web though. Good luck

Try one of the comparison websites too. If you haven’t had any complications etc, the added premium for us ‘heart attack + one stenters’ isn’t that much in my experience.

Less keen for a quadruple and Alan Nabarro Medal!

Hi unfortunately you will probably have to try most of the companies as they quote differently. We went with Avanti but do read the small print - good luck

Hi

I had 3 stents fitted in June and was still determined to ski again next year. I tried All clear and had travel cover within minutes at a pretty reasonable price. Hope you get sorted too and enjoy your cruise.

Regards

I'd suggest StaySure, I looked at a number of companies, they may not be the cheapest but the cover they provide is very good - good cover is an important issue for people with our medical problems, more so than the cheapest quote!

Hi Arnold

I am travelling for the first time to Madeira oN sunday since HA in June and with ICD fitted

I found “all clear “ really easy to deal with and great cover at a reasonable price (about) £ 80 for the week for me and wife

It would have been about 250 for a multi holiday annual cover

First of all, I would like to clarify how old are you? I don't just want to know your age, all because many insurance companies do not insure people who are older than a certain age. I would recommend the service to you squeeze.com in which you can store all your data on insurance and utility bills, in addition, you will be able to search for insurance that suits you and purchase them in this application. You will have the opportunity to analyze different insurance companies in order to choose the best insurance option. I wish you good luck and hope you find the best option! Be healthy and take care of yourself!

Not what you're looking for?
