Hi ZipClubMember, It’s reassuring for you both that all is going ok with your partner’s recovery and there are no signs of infection. After my bypass surgery I was put on dual anti platelet therapy : Aspirin and Ticagrelor, which seems to be routine after bypass surgery. As these drugs work to keep the blood thin and so help prevent clots, this resulted in a lot of bruising for the entire time I was on the two drugs. I would develop huge bruises for little or no reason. It seems that this is usual whilst on these drugs. I am now just on Aspirin and I no longer get the bruising. Perhaps check with your GP whether this is the cause of your partner’s bruising? I hope he continues to recover well.
Sounds like the colopydog and asprin are doing their thing I had it after my cabg.Ask your cardiac nurse, but it sounds like the typical reaction to dule therapy, hear a loud noise get a bruise, give him a hard stare al a Paddington he will probably get a bruise.
It's distressing at first then you get used to it, but warn him that he will probably get cooold hands in the winter.
Tell him that it gets better, but four weeks it's still shiny time is the best treatment.
