Hi Clipperkid , here's a post on insurance which might be help! healthunlocked.com/bhf/post...

If you are a woman, or a man with a partner living in the same house, you/she can join a Women's Institute group & immediately join their group travel insurance policy with Open Travel, who do not ask info re medical conditions. I paid £195 for the annual worldwide multitrip insurance. Clare

Hi, just had a look at the terms and conditions of the W.I. insurance as I am travelling in September. Just ensure you read the terms and conditions as the policy starts in November each year and if you purchase it "now" you pay for a full year, but only get cover until November. The £195 is for one person only. However, it is very reasonable if you do have a spouse. No good for me as I am travelling in September, but, I have made a note to have a look again at the end of October. I have used Avanti for the past two years. Have a look on-line at their terms and conditions. Along with heart problems, I have osteoporosis and they just cover that with no questions asked about it. I was amazed, but was reassured that one has to only answers the questions they ask. However, one does have to answer some questions, hence the recommendation to look at the terms and conditions.

Great! (BUT best not mention you want to join because of group travel insurance!!) In the meantime you can download Open Travel's application form, then add your WI group name and region after you join.
