I take Omeprazole, and the instructions also state that I must take it before food similar to your Lansoprazole. I’ve been told to take this first thing in the morning, 30 minutes before eating, once a day. I also take calcium channel blockers. There is no specific instruction on there a part from having to take it twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening, and to avoid food & drink containing grapefruit.

All the best.

Some medications require specific instructions, in my case Rivaroxaban needs to be taken with food, a meal not a snack. It doesn't work properly if you don't.When I was prescribed Bisoprolol temporarily I was told to take it at night. As I have a history of reacting to medication I asked if I could take it in the morning and that was okay. When I was given it permanently the instructions were to take it in the morning 30 mins before food, but I haven't been able to find a medical reason for that. I thnk sometimes the prescribing doctor has a belief and prescribes accordingly. When the instructions are to take with a full glass of water it could be to ensure that the tablet is swallowed properly and doesn't get stuck.

If I have any doubt I ring the GP or a pharmacist.

hi I take my lansoprazole when it’s time to get out of bed so I keep it upstairs as I know I’ll eat within 30 to 60 mins. Then later when I have my main breakfast when I have a few warm gulps of tea left I take my clopidogrel, atorvastatin and amlodipine one after the other. That way it’s done and I won’t forget. 👍unless there are very specific instructions on the box I don’t worry too much / over think it any more about how and when take (exception lansoprazole).

I usually take it after eating, with a drink of whatever I'm drinking at the time. No problems.

Hi I take entresto, and have done for years. I take 1 in the morning along with 6 other heart failure tablets. I take them with my breakfast, that includes bisoprolol plus I take 2 co-codamol and 1 gabapentin all with 1 glass of water. I have done this for years without any problem

Usually they write on the box how you should take them. My entresto box gives a warning that it can cause dizziness and fatigue and to beware when driving etc. and of course says take 1 twice a day.

The bisoprolol just says do not stop taking this medicine unless a doctor tells you to and tells me to take 1 a day. At first my cardiologist told me to take it at night when I started on lower dose in case I get dizzy but after he said I can take when I want once I take it daily. I take 10mg.

So when they say take it with a full glass of water, is that a tumbler size glass or a sherry size glass 🤔 saying take it with a full glass of water doesn't really help does it? now if it said take it with a full glass of gin then I'd know exactly what size the glass would be!😂
