Just wanted to send best wishes to Wendy and Dory as they see their Drs in the next couple of days.

Hope you are both feeling a bit better and any problems can be sorted out.

Take care

Annette

Thank you very much Annette for thinking of me. I hope you are OK and you got to the bottom of the hair loss. I must admit mine is still not as healthy as it was but then I expect the op has taken its toll in so many ways.

I know you have been in a quandary about having a replacement valve, mine is giving me no problems, no ticking noise either. I hope this reassures you a bit.

All the best to Wendy for her forthcoming appointment, I hope it is a positive one.

With love, Dory xxx💕

Hi Dory

Appointment went well and now signed off by the hospital. Hope you're doing well too.

I am so pleased for you Wendy, another step towards getting back to normal. Hopefully your breathlessness will lessen as you start to exercise more. This weather is not conducive to walks is it?!

With love,

Dory x💕

Hi Dory, glad to hear your valve is not causing any problems, I have decided to go ahead with the surgery so just waiting now for an appointment for the pre op. Have you recovered from the post perfusion syndrome, I have heard it can be an awful thing.

Still losing my hair but trying new shampoo etc so fingers crossed.

Best wishes

Annette

Hi Annette,

So pleased you have decided to go ahead with the replacement, making a decision is half the battle. Sorry to hear you are still suffering from hair loss, hopefully the new shampoo will help.

Most of the post perfusion symptoms have gone thank you. Concentration is still a bit sketchy. I think I suffered so much from this because my surgery took eight hours. I still have a couple of other side effects; temperature spikes and pulsatile tinnitus which I hope will clear up in time. The breathlessness is easing and I have a bit more energy now, at eight weeks post op I feel I am doing OK. Onwards and upwards, it will be interesting to see what my cardiologist thinks tomorrow.

I hope you don’t have to wait too long for your op.

With love, Dory x💕

Hi Annette

Thanks for your best wishes. Just got back from my check up at the hospital. All good and been signed off. I still get out of breath but that's probably because I haven't done as much walking as I should due to the cold weather, made me breathless and a cough. Doctor says my X-ray and ecg were clear and as most of the time my breathing is okay he reckons it will improve as I move about more. I am signed off for another three weeks and am actually looking forward to it.

Hope everything is okay with you Annette.

Wendy

Hi Everyone,

I had a good meeting with my cardiologist and a cardioversion is booked for 12th February, apparently it is more likely to be successful three months post op particularly as I had ablation. This will be the third and final cardioversion so fingers crossed it will fix the Afib.

Thank you for all your good wishes,

Dory x💕

Hi Dory,

Glad your follow up went well and hope the cardioversion is successful this time. I had an episode of AF yesterday evening and it feels very unpleasant doesn't it ?

Best wishes

Annette

Thank you Annette,

I have Afib all the time, thankfully it is not as bad as before my op; it used to feel like I had a box of frogs in my chest!

Hopefully the cardioversion will work this time, if not I will wait until I have got as fit as I am able and see how much the Afib does or does not compromise me before considering more invasive treatment.

Take care,

Dory x💕
