Hi feeling very down lately so much on my mind was looking forward to seeing surgeon today and ask lots of questions but just had a call to say it's been cancelled due to an emergency. I get this totally of course I do but its juat added to my anxiety over my condition. Iv heard it can cause sudden death so I now worry about everything I'm doing. Sorry to moan just need to let it out x

That's frustrating. Hope you get an appointment rescheduled soon. Would it help you to chat to someone at the BHF Heart Helpline in the meantime? Number is 0300 330 3311 x

Hello Kaz, fully get your frustration and your anxiety. Just a suggestion to think about, your appointment has been cancelled due to an emergency, therefore you are not in imminent danger, might help a little. If not feel free to curse and rant at me

take care

Mark

Hi, it's a lot to get your head round and these first months will be like a roller coaster. The best thing to do is to call the BHF helpline like Laura suggested. There are no answers, but amazingly for some reason we do manage to cope. However, it is so mind blowing to get your head round, so overwhelming the only thing I do is try and distract myself. I've been doing my family tree and I do craft. Anything that keeps my mind busy. I've had a tough week as I lost a friend, this brought up a lot of memories back when I was having my bypass. Once you have seen the cardiologist and you know the next course of action it may help, but then you worry about that too. Perhaps write it down and go and take it to your GP to read.

Take Care x

Always better to let it out and vent the worry and anxiety than keep it in. I doubt there is anyone on here that hasn’t had a full on rant about their situation x
