Morning all,
Firstly, gym going well, shin splints aside (yes still suffering but its easing). Walking not so good as it irritates the shin terribly. Average steps moved from near 13k a day to about 7k recently.
Couple of downsides to the gym bit, sweat. For those of a sensitive disposition please miss the next few lines. I am drenched post work out, really you could wring out my top, my bottoms and even my socks. This in turn has irritated my chest scar but i have been given a tip on this and hopefully it will work, kelocote UV scar gel, will let you all know how super or not this is.
I have got the bike out of storage, dusted, oiled, tightened up and a general service. Forgotten how sharp that blooming saddle looks and feels though! Also invested in a bike trainer for when the weather turns horrid. This has the added advantage that when I am freezing my tail off in the garage I can load courses onto a laptop and make it seem like I am riding in brilliant sunshine, though what that will do to the excess sweat issue I don't know!
