PPAR drugs are sometimes used as an anti itch medication (
Bezafibrate
). There is increasing evidence though, that
Bezafibrate
can impair kidney function - it needs to be monitored closely. Drugs included in this PPAR class include Seladelpar, Fenfibrate, and Elafibranor.

Creatine
I take
Bezafibrate
for itch (life saver). I have embark on a fitness journey of Crossfit and after 12 months wish to improve even more. I am advised by my coach to take Creatine and that this is natural and improves performance and muscle recovery. Anyone take this?

Covid MRNA vaccine and PBC
Treatment with URSO and
bezafibrate
keeps things reasonably stable. I believe in vaccines so have taken 4 Covid shots up to April 22.Soon after April dose I developed very bad pains in hips, thighs, shoulders and upper arms.

Bezafibrate and weight gain
I was switched to
Bezafibrate
when I couldn’t tolerate Urso or Ocaliva. It’s absolutely fine. However I seem to be gaining weight. Has anyone else had this?

Bezafibrate
Does anyone know if
Bezafibrate
can cause problems with your kidneys? Also if you can just stop it or if you need to gradually come off?

Finally got a reliable answer
My pharmacist did tell me that by taking them together the
Bezafibrate
May diminish the affect of the Ursodeoxycholic and I do tend to believe this to be authentic but other than that I am satisfied that to mix them is not going to cause any side affects in the future , hopefully.

How to deal with constant hunger in a diabetic, hypertense, and with renal insufficiency patient?
She is on pioglitazone,
bezafibrate
, telmisartan, and erythropoietin. She, unfortunately, is obese, and her hunger is becoming a real problem for us.

Bezafibrate with Urso really helps
Everyone with PBC and increasing ALP should ask for the combi-therapy with Bezafibrat. Your doctor can prescribe it with the diagnosis: metabolic fat disorder, so to avoid that it is not yet approved for PBC, because studies are so expensive for this cheap medicine. (We all Pbc-ers have metabolic fat-disorder

Itching
I was happily taking my Ursofalk until 2017, when my Consultant told me I was virtually a non-responder and that he was going to try me on
Bezafibrate
as well as Ursofalk. The
Bezafibrate
I take is called Bezalip. I take three pills a day with meals.

She also change my
Bezafibrate
400mcg to Atorvastatin 20mcg daily. I did tell her that I had taken Statins when my GP first diagnosed High Cholesterol (over 10years ago now) but the didn't agree with me, given me pain in the lower right leg and sleeplessness.

Bezafibrate
My consultant has just suggested that I should take 400mg
Bezafibrate
modified release tablet once a day. It is not something I have heard of and was just wondering if anyone else takes them and how they have got on with them. I already take 1000mg of Urso per day.

"Damn Foreign Food", spluttered Biggles indignantly! Hydroxyurea the first 10 days
I think this also assists with my other pill taking, as I have to take Allopurinol (I do this at breakfast time),
Bezafibrate
(for cholesterol) and 100mg Enteric coated aspirin (I take these latter two pills after my evening meal.
