Tear in Tendon

Has anybody with Psa had any problems with torn tendons ?

I have just had an ultrasound and found to have a tear in tendon in the rotator cuff/bursa area of my shoulder, I have had a pain with trouble sleeping in that area for quite a while so my rheumy decided to send me for the ultrasound, I am not aware of any incident that could have caused this, so I have googled it and some sites say that it can be caused by Psa so I wondered if anybody else has had this

When my symptoms became severe and just before my PsA diagnosis I finally got an ultrasound on my shoulder. I had a tear in my rotator cuff. It took 3 months on prednisone and the fact that the shoulder was the only pain that did not go away whilst on prednisone.

thank you for your reply, that’s interesting, did you have surgery on your shoulder ?

They have me a steroid injection but they also said that the tear will not repair on its own

No surgery required. It didn't get better until I took the scan results to my physiotherapist. I had been inflaming it doing exercises. I had to rest it for a few weeks and then gradually go back on to exercises.

Im dealing with PSA in my shoulder and suspect possible tendons tear …. The disease that keeps on giving.

Ive been down for 7 years because of this disease…. Its hard to get non-sufferers to understand the daily pain.
