Hi, I have had guttate psoriasis for over 20 years and recently it has got a lot worse. I have now been prescribed a 6 week course of Predisolone. Has anyone any experience of using it and does it help or make things worse when you come off them ? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Predisolone for guttate psoriasis?
I was treated for my psoriasis as a kid with steroids for years and never helped and can be bad for your health if taken long term. Does your guttate psoriasis go away or is it always their just gets worse if you get sick?
it's usually always been manageable with the ointments and creams, but I had really bad Tonsilitis a couple of months ago and now the psorasis has spread to every part of my body. It's the worst it's ever been and the ointments and creams aren't working which is why they prescribed steroids, but I am apprehensive to take them as I have heard that sometimes it can make it worse when people stop taking the steroids.
Yes, its true they definitely can make things worse when stopped. Have you seen a dermatologist? They have some new creams out on the market that people are raving about I have been trying to get my hands on the new steroid free one but having no joy “insurance” doesn’t like new meds …. Are you still sick
No I was only ill for a week but it's seems to have sent my immune system crazy afterwards. I saw a dermatologist and they gave a different steroid cream and then the oral steroids. What are the new creams? I will ask them about that next time I see them.
VTMA Cream ….. Have you tried Otezla?
I've not heard of those but will look into it thanks.
I've been diagnosed with plaque psoriasis and had skin infections of S. aureus a number of times.
For problems with GERD, I began to take 220mg hyalurinic acid plus a supplement containing MSM Chondroitin and Glucosamine 3xd.
To my surprise, my Psoriasis has disappeared.
Only toxic shampoos and steroids had worked previously, and not for long.
