Do any apply to you? Please do post, I am adding comments as we are all on different time zones, Thank you all.

How do you know when you need help with grieving? Grieving a loved one is normal, but there is a point where the grief can overwhelm you and make daily life challenging long term. How do you determine that your grief is not subsiding enough? Ask yourself these questions that might indicate you may need to seek help for your grief.

Q1. Are you feeling numb inside?

Feeling sad, confused or even happy (due to good memories) is entirely acceptable during periods of mourning, so if you are feeling entirely numb and unable to reach any of these emotions, there may be cause for alarm.

I think you close down your mind and it festers away and can come out in a bad way it`s important to seek support as soon as you realise your shutting down.

I sought counseling in 2018 and am still going. My sister had passed away, horrifically, in a house fire in 2011. THAT took so much out of me yet I came around eventually. In 2018 her oldest son, my nephew, Godson and heart passed away at 32 due to an overdose. In between were more tragedies and I had had enough. Michael's death took simply everything out of me. I felt I failed him and my sister. I am still dealing with it but with the help of my wonderful counselor, I will eventually be ok. The key is the counselor.
