Does the weather have an impact on

a) how you feel and

b) how you cope with your grief?

I defo prefer the long darker autumn winter months.summer makes me feel more unsettled and anxious waves of higher anxiety.dont get me wrong I like a bit of sun I can sit at the graveyard for ages or get some hillwalking done.

Do you know Kenny, I completely agree with you.

There's something soothing about Autumn /Winter days. I also love Spring, which to me signifies hope and new beginnings.

I've always found days such as today really pull me down, and loss is uppermost in my mind, so I was interested to know if others were affected.

Today it's a grey day with a promise of rain so the lawn and hedge wont get done. But i feel positive, active ... generally good. There is usually little to disrupt my Saturday morning. In mid afternoon i will feel the opposite , this weather will not help and will feel like comfort eating. By that time i will feel tired with a compulsion to carry on and make myself worse.

In the week I'm not that lucky. I'll start to go down hill by 10am when my excitement has quickly faded regardless of what the weather is like. But a nice sunny day would help me cheer up.

So it does effect me but just seems to increase or decrease my feelings towards what it is. Sunny a bit more up, dull & rainy a bit more down. Asking the question is really cool. Over I might try and thin how I can use this. Something interesting to think about in a quiet moment. Back soon...

Morning Greyone

I can understand where you're coming from and I think many of us feel the same and have the same habits.

I do feel that this has been compounded by the crisis and so many will be suffering the side effects, either mental health worries, weight gain or lack of confidence and these too are affected by the weather.
