Are you having company through the holiday period or do you prefer to be alone, maybe not by choice I understand?

I feel more like I'm squatting in my Mother 's house rather than living with my sister in our house. So I/we won't be having visitors.

I actively discourage both of us from having visitors because although we get on, we don't always see eye to eye and we are not good at compromise, honest discussion or mutual respect and have separate lives.

Well Greyone

I do hope you can both put aside differences for a few hours, if not I'm sure you'll find a way of enjoying the day.

For the last 3 Christmases I've stayed with friends, this year for a week which is a little longer than the 2 previous times.

There is an invitation for next year ("for as long as you like") but I intend to be there for a shorter period. This is because being in a family situation for a whole week led me to experience loneliness for the first time when I was home for the first night afterwards. I think a shorter stay with them will mean I don't feel the same loneliness on my return.

Not what you're looking for?
