HI Chloe,
I decided to save your excellent question for my Sunday morning. I keep on promising myself to spend regular time thinking about my loved ones but never seem t get round to it. So thank you so much for asking. My counsellor advised me to think of the good time s rather than dwell on the bad and I must admit that I have not done that either and my journal is full of bad stories.
Living in my parent's house and now mine, I run into good memories everywhere I go. Every time I go down our drive I remember as children we used to have a scooter (cooter) and trike and we used to have races each Sunday morning with Dad, whilst mum was making lunch and she would keep putting her head out of the kitchen window to watch us. The trike was a wonderful thing, sturdy and fast and was always the winner. The scooter though nimble and fast was always the looser because of a wonky front wheel that always lost its tyre at high speed. So halfway down the drive, the mechanic in us was needed as the trike sped past to the winning line. So each race was guaranteed excitement and frustration depending on who was driving what. One thing we never managed to do was make permanent repairs to the scooter so every race it was inevitable that the front tire would come loose and stop whoever in mid-race.
Hope you all enjoy my short story and I look forward to hearing from you all.
