It’s been a day and its just odd

She passed on sat Feb 24th early the morning

No one knows how it happened

We met in the 1st grade at 6 years old

Even though we ended up go to different schools during middle school and part of high school yet we still managed to maintain our friendship

I feel fragile somehow like if I don’t distract myself I’ll breakdown and cry

I ended up sleeping at 4 am

I feel numb

I don’t handle these type of things very well

I called mom we both cried I cried in the shower

I nearly cried when I saw my chihuahua because

I remembered her dogs buddy and Chester

I finally stoped crying

I feel just strange

Losing a dear friend is a Big Loss Daniellesparkles !

I'm glad you could talk with your Mom and have a good cry ... crying is really important, i think, especially after we lose a dear loved one. It's Ok to cry, from my perspective.

It is difficult for me to cry - when I'm grieving ... not sure why. I feel a bit better after I cry - hope you do, too.

Please take some time off your usual day to day routine, if you can, so you are able to grieve the loss of your friend. If possible, don't rush your grieving.

Take good care Daniellesparkles as you carry on, r-e <3

Yes, I think we have stuffed tears too much and it is relief to cry. It makes your eyes puffy and stuffy nose, but not as much if you just let it out without fighting the tears. It is trying to hide them where the tension surfaces. I have read tears of sadness have a different chemistry than onions or a cold and helps you healing, Danielle.

Hi Danielle,

Such a sad time for you losing your friend. Especially when there's a bit of mystery around what happened. I hope they manage to find out what happened.

In the meantime, I noticed in your message that you seem to be trying to avoid crying... Everyone grieves differently, there's no right or wrong, but please try not to stop yourself from crying..it's a necessary part of the grieving process. I know myself, I'm not comfortable with it either, but having lost quite a few family, friends and animals in the past 5 years, I can say that finding a quiet place and allowing the tears to flow helps ease the heaviness in the chest and tightness in the throat, as well as lift the emotional weight we feel during these times..

Only a suggestion..

Wishing you peace at this time. 💙

Hello Daniellesparkles and welcome to our friendly and supportive community.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear friend. It is not unusual to feel numb and can be the body's way of protecting you as you try to make 'sense' of what has happened. It is good that you are able to cry and release emotion and I am glad you have your mum to talk with. Try to be gentle with yourself as you grieve for your friend.

We are always here to support you in any way we can. Stay in touch and take good care,

Lottie

I'm so sorry that your friend passed away recently. You will experience a lot of different emotions, and it is important to grieve. You might feel drained and tired for a bit because bit.ly/grieving_takes a lot of energy. Perhaps you could journal your thoughts to honor your friend.
