Hi, I have a few questions about attending the London behcets centre, has anyone been? I was wondering how long you waited for an appointment and how long were you there for with your first appointment? Do y think there's anywhere people can lye down if they can't sit up long? Thanks

Question for those who have been to the London centre
Hi Vikki, yes my daughter is under Prof Fortune, it didnt really take that long as Hammersmith hosp refered her, the 1st time you attend is a long one as you need to see many specialists, yes there is a bed you can lie on if you feel unwell, they are very nice in the clinic. If you are driving and need a car park, rather than paying stupid money to park on the rd we use the carpark which in next door to the big blue building you cant miss it its on a large piece of ground and it costs 10.00 for the whole day. Good luck on your visit. x
Hi, yes I got a referral via Sofia Grigoriagou at Barts really quickly. The Clinic was really well organised, waiting time was very short and there are small waiting rooms you can rest in between appointments and a place to lie down. Even after seeing 4 Professors and going next door for bloods I was only there for 2 hours. They were so knowledgeable and friendly I was totally at ease.
I only got diagnosed this year, so BD is all new to me. However, I was sat with a lady who had had it for 40+ years. She kept crying with happiness about how the London Clinic would change her life, reduce having to see multiple different consultants all over the place etc.
Hope all goes well for you.
