My daughter is suffering anxiety attacks, could this be due to the meds she is on ( Cellcept ) or just another symptom that comes with BD, does anyone know? Thanks

Anxiety attacks
Anxiety is a noted possible side effect of cellcept.
Non med anxiety attacks are not a specific symptom of BD, but certainly something that can happen.
I would recommend getting medical advice.
Thank you Tigerfeet, Sinitta has seeked advice from the hospital who said she was to make an appointment with her GP which she has done and they prescribed beta blockers, but our local hospital is usless really and didnt say whether it was the meds or not. Thanks again. x
Hi Tamirra
For Anxiety can i recommend books by Dr Claire Weekes, they have been invaluable to me.
Hi Tamirra
I find the word side affect sends doctors speechless. They don't really want to take them seriously and a lot of the time, don't even know them or bother to look them up.
Beta blockers caused me weakness, tiredness, depression and jittery palpatations so if your daughter does take them, watch out for this.
Not all people suffer with the same side affects, but I just thought I would let you know.
I have anxiety attacks as well, which I think are totaly understandable given what we have to go through. I find sometimes it seems to occur after battling with a big problem. Seems o.k while I am battling, but afterwards it comes flying on.
I give myself permission to be depressed or anxious for a small time and take this as a sign to slow down or ease up and concentrate on myself.
Learning coping mechanisms is a good way to deal with this and there are some good books as Dundee has suggested or even some good hypnotherepy CD's.
Hope some of this helps
Andrea
p.s excuse my spelling only I am having a funny time with this today - possibly feeling anxious about my appointment on monday
Thank you Dundee i will mention the book to her and Andrea Sinitta has many emotional problems that were never dealt with years ago, so it could be a mix of that, the meds and the illness, who knows. x x
