Medication causing heart murmur?

Evening

I’m on infliximab, azathioprine and thankfully down to 2.5 mg prednisolone.

I just had a rheumatology appointment and was seen by a new guy who is working under my rheumatologist.

He listened to my heart and said I have a heart murmur!??

This is new, no one has ever reported hearing this. He said he’d organise an echo and went to check a few things. When he came back he didn’t mention it again and I got caught up in the conversation about other things and now I’m wondering if I’m definitely getting an echo or not.

I have my biological treatment on the 25th of this month and looked at the medical info on the website and it says infliximab can cause heart failure.

As this is a new symptom I’m concerned. How concerned should I be? Anyone shed any light?

Thanks 🙏

Hiya just to put your mind at rest I've had a heart murmer since I was 16 (42 years). I've had no problems with it & it doesn't cause me any major issues. I really wouldn't worry about it. It just means that every now & then your heart skips a beat then beats back in the normal rhythm again. I hope that helps. Take care.
