I was diagnosed with a Bartholin Cyst through a GP around 2.5 months ago, and had been off/on antibiotics during this period.
Recently, I went to an OBGYN who informed me that because my cyst is deep-seated and is not currently infected, he was not recommending any form of surgery until it began to swell and come further to the top of the skin (also highlighting the unnecessary need for antibiotics if surgery us to be performed, as these alleviate the inflammation - all those side effects; stomach problems, bowel issues, and thrush for nothing)!
On one hand, I can appreciate not having to go through with the marsupialization/drainage but, on the other hand, I really just want it gone and would've welcomed some assistance.
Has anyone had experience with this? A deep-seated cyst that your GP/OBGYN will not perform surgery on? Does anyone have recommendations for at home-treatment? Though I feel like I've tried every home remedy available...
Almost tempted to just grab a bottle of rum and sterilise a needle at this point!
