BD and allergy shots

Hello all,

I hope you are doing well. I have a question. I stated allergy shots about two months ago. Before I started my BD completely under control. I had zero issues. Since I started these shots I've noticed quite a bit of trouble. The day after the shot I feel terrible. Lots of joint pain, I've even had some days with noticble inflammation in my ankles. Has anyone noticed issues with allergy shots?

Way back in the 1980’s, not yet diagnosed with BD, I attempted desensitization - allergologist identified allergens and injected me with progressively increasing doses of ‘allergens’ . Started smoothly, but I eventually hit my ‘glass ceiling’ and I became worse than before desensitization started.

I am not sure if this is similar to what you were having.

Thank you for sharing. I think I may come off them and see if I get better. I haven't had this sort of pain since my BD showed up 6 years ago. I have an appointment at Mayo next month to see what they think. My local doctors are unsure but do believe there could be a correlation.
