We’re posting on behalf of a member who wanted to know if anyone has ever had parathyroid problems with their Behçet's?
This member has been having chemo for the last 18mths for Myeloma. They are currently in remission however their calcium levels have gone sky high which could relate to the Myeloma but may not so they were interested to know if anyone has had similar symptoms related to their Behçet's?.

Usually low vitamin D levels here. Your friend should have labs & imaging to aid in diagnosis. Ask his/her physicians if possibly related to current medications or another disease
The following link refers to a lady who had issues with parathyroid and had her thyroid removed and issue with calcium, quite a long article about her life:
Hi. Yes. I have Behçet's and primary hyperparathyroidism. I have high hyperparathroid hormone and high calcium in my blood. My iron is low, my vit D is low and my S-alkaline phophatase. I am going to have one or more parathyroids removed. I hope it is the right choice and that these blood levels are not just due to the oh so mysterious Behçet's syndrome/disease. I had kidney stones though and all the other symptoms of a person with hyperparathyroidism so I hope to at least get rid or lighten some of those symptoms. Every little win is a win. I will be reading the article about the lady who asked.
My blood work 3 months ago showed high calcium and low Vitamin D in spite of Vitamin D supplements. The recheck showed normal levels. My body is weird.
