Hi, I’m going away to Canada for a month, to surprise my sister for her 50th.
I was wondering which company people used for medical insurance?
I take quite a few meds and inject once a week, so I need to be fully covered...
Thank you

Anisa,
Since I noticed you kindly previously provided some very useful advice for those travelling abroad in January, to do with medication, needles etc, which was subsequently placed on our ‘To do List’ by our Administrator for posting something on our web site, I thought I would just have a quick look around the internet for your, as no-one else has replied yet. (The FCO may fall back on the old well-tied line that "they have to stay neutral ....." so be blunt and say, "without commitment, what travel insurance do you use then?" and see if that gets a reaction! You could ask, have you had any complaints about any to avoid.)

The FCO site says much the same, but worth looking through.
Hi, I have always used insure and go. You have to go through a medical screening and they do charge more and I always take the excess waiver. I had to claim last year for cancellation as I had just come out of hospital after a bad flare and I had no problems claiming. Luckily for me I have never been ill when away so can t advise on what service would be like should this happen. Good luck finding the right policy and go enjoy your holiday!
