My daughter has been on them for quite a while now, but i don't think she has side effects from them but i do know that she has had to increase the dose as the lower dose did not work too well, but even after highering the dosage she still gets very bad flares like she is at the moment, mouth and genital ulcers, but everyone reacts differently. x x

hello Jackamo,

I have been taking mycophenolate mopetil approx 15 years and to my knowledge I have not suffered any side effects, I would point out though; in case you or anyone reading this doesn’t know, regular blood test are essential as mycophenolate mopetil can effect the liver, so your LFT blood test (Liver Function Test) must be done regularly; once a week to begin with, then fortnightly and then once a month; for as long as you are on mycophenolate mopetil…

I hope this information is useful and I hope your treaatment plan works out for you.

kind regards,

Paul

Hi Jackamo.

I've been taking mycophenolate for 12 months now and I've had no side effects that I know of. It's really controlled the symptoms well for me. I was on 500 twice daily to start but the dose had to be increased to 1000 twice daily.

I couldn't work for a year while I was diagnosed and found the right treatment. I'm back at work full time now and determined to stay fit, well and working.

I've never been good in the sun but I do make sure I use spf15 on my face daily and keep covered up.

Hope you feel better soon.

Godles.
