Advice on the pill please??

I've always had a burning question about the pill but it never really seems to be answered. I take microgynon 30 and have a 7 day withdrawal break. But I've always wondered after the 7 day break, do you need to use extra contraception for the 7 days you start your pill again? I really need to know so any advice would be really appreciated. Also is there a certain timeframe sex should be avoided while taking the pill?

I looked this up as long as you take the pill the same time each day, are not sick or have diahoreah or on medicinces that conflict with the pill you are protected at any time during your cycle.

I also read that it was in effect all the time too as long as all of that happens. I was just reading stuff about starting the pill after breaks and wondered if it applied to withdrawal breaks but my doctor would've said something about it if it was true. Plus there literally aren't any answers to if you need to use extra protection when you start a cycle again after a withdrawal so I'm guessing it's fine.

You only need to use extra protection of you lengthen the pill free interval either by missing pills just before or after your pill free week.
