desogestrel contraceptive pill

i started taking this pill just under a year ago and been perfectly fine no period at all but all of a sudden i now get a period every week at the same time on and off for a few days could someone tell me why as ive never missed a pill or taken one late and its so random im not sure if its normal or what i can do to stop it

Ok the usual questions for on here - 1 have you taken a chlamydia test and 2 are your smears up to date if you are over 25

im not sexually active so i dont need a chlamydia test and i am not over 25 so i think im going to change to the injection to see if that will change anything

You are less likely to get bleeding with the depo provera injection than with the oral POP .
