STD? Urinating more frequently & pressure in lower abdomen.

Hi everyone,

I recently had vaginal sex with a condom however it slipped off followed by a hand job from a sex worker (17th Aug) a week back. I have no pain in the penis, however I am urinating more frequenlty, and a feel flatuation in the lower abdomen, mild to moderate pressure and very gassy. Could this be gonorrhea/chlamydia?

I wish to get STD screened, when is the best time to do this as it has only been 7 days

I will also get HIV screened after 3 months or so as i have read online.

Your symptoms are more in keeping with a UTI, however if the condom came off during vaginal sex an sti screen would be appropriate. The hand job is zero risk.

Most UK clinics advocate sti screening after 2 weeks. you can order this online for free, however this does not screen you for a UTI and you would need to attend a clinic or discuss with your gp about that.

A fourth generation HIV test can be done after 4 weeks, not three months. The prevalence of HIV in sex workers in the UK is very low , but I am not sure what country you are in.

Thank you very much for the advice, I will visit my local doctor and see what he comes up with. At a later date 2 week marker I will an STD test done followed by a HIV test in a few weeks from now.

Hi there,

Its been approx 23 days since my activity.

I have done urine tests and blood test all have come back clear, i am currently on azee 500mg and doxycycline(first dosage today) as i have slight irritaion in penis shaft (as a precaution),. No signs of herpes lesions or anything. No swelling of lymph nodes or fever. I have noticed i have no morning wood and a very weak erection. I was able to masturbate semen appears normal however clear semen is more sticky than before my sexual encounter.

Im stressed and barely sleeping.

Could chlamydia/gonorrhea cause this ED?

Chlamydia very rarely causes prostatitis - very , very rarely .
