Strong period like cramps at 5 weeks pregnant?

Has anybody else had this sensation of really strong cramping in early pregnancy and had a healthy pregnancy?

I’ve been told it’s perfectly normal as it’s just your uterus changing and the ligaments stretching. If you have bleeding see the doctor to get it checked out but I’ve been told the period cramps are normal

If the cramping is severe consider attending an early pregnancy unit in the UK for assessment
