Chlamydia treatment and symptoms

Hi i recently started the doxycycline treatment and was just wondering when the symptoms of chlamydia start to go? I am on my last day of treatment (7th day) and my symptom of discharge from the urethra still hasn’t gone. Should i be worried?

Where were you tested ? did you attend a uk sexual health service ? If so you will have had a combined gonorrhoea / chlamydia PCR test. However there are other organisms that can cause discharge. If your symptoms persist one week after you complete treatment, please go back to the sexual health unit to get microscopy done and a mycoplasma test if the unit does that .
