Non-specific urethritis / chlamydia (?)

Hi all, I am not very sexual educated and got something bothering me so hear me out. I got unprotected sex and after a few days got this discharges, pain when and after urinating. When I got tested a week after the sex I have been diagnosed NSU and negative on the other sti's (I got tested 3/4 days after this first test and it accused negative in chlamydia and gonorrhoea also) . I got treated with doxicycline for a week non-stop and have been told that after a week of treatment I could start having sex again. Which I did, exactly one week and one day after treatment and unprotected this time with a monogamous. Question is: would I be still carrying this infection and would I had passed it to my girlfriend?

If it was the same partner then not only could you of infected her but now also re-infected yourself, the moment you test positive for any STI you needed to tell any sexual partners so that they could get tested and treatment and not resume any sexual activity until both yours and their treatment had ended. You should now return back to the clinic with your partner and both have a sexual screening so that you both receive any treatment together if required. For future reference if you explain that you have a dedicated partner when getting your treatment then they will advise you that the partner needs to be tested etc on rare occasions they issue medication for the partner prior to testing.
