I am getting the coil to reduce period pains instead of mainly using it as a contraceptive. I think my doctor said I will be getting the non-hormonal coil but apparently this increases bleeding and pains? Is this just for the first few months or for as long as you have it in?
if you suffer from pains I wouldn't recommend a non hormonal coil as they can increase your pain. I would ask your Dr if you could have a Mirena coil as these can stop your periods (don't always though and have their own side effects).
