Well I had unprotected sex with a escort stupid I know but what's happened had happened I went to the clinic and started a course of pep truvador and ratgravir within 24hr now im 3 weeks into the course I have a runny nose and a sore throat a little cough but I do smoke but no rash headache or fatigue chances I have caught hiv? Really worried

Assuming the escort was female, I think you have nothing to worry about.

Firstly PEP is very effective

Secondly most female escorts arn't HIV positive anyway

Thirdly even if she was positive, female to male transmission of HIV from vaginal or oral sex is very inefficient.

So I think the chances of you getting HIV from having sex once were pretty remote even without the PEP.

I agree with Mark, as long as you aren’t missing doses or PEP, you have a remote chance of contracting HIV. If you had anal sex the chances are higher but you did the right thing in obtaining PEP ASAP.

Seroconversion normally replicates a fever, not a cold.
