Struggling to sleep with type 2 genital herpes????

I got diagnosed with type 2 genital herpes yesterday and im really struggling to sleep , sit or stand in any position I use the medication the doctors give me, the pain is absolutely horrible any suggestions on how I can get a decent nights sleep??😩

Hi Shannon. I was diagnosed earlier this week too so I know how you feel. I've been icing the area and washing it with salt water, both of these have been helping me. Also the cold setting of a hairdryer can be soothing. I hope that helps a bit! x
