Will I be protected straight away?

Hello everyone! This is my first post so I'm a little nervous here but I was wondering if anybody could help me out.

I've been taking the pill on and off for a couple of years now (I've been through 4 different brands) so I'm pretty familiar with the Ins and Outs of how to take it and how to make it effective. I'm currently using Femodene (I'm on the 3rd day of my break) and it's by far the worst pill I've been on (for me!!) because although I'm not as depressed (which is AMAZING!!) I have horrendous anger problems, almost to the point of the anger itself is going to make me depressed rather than the pill, I'll fly of the hinge within a second and can take hours to calm down, I'm struggling to control my tantrums too, and have been lashing out (throwing stuff around the room, punching my bed and walls, self harm).

I'm planning on booking an appointment with my doctor to book in to get the Coil fitted but at my last appointment she recommended me to keep on the pill up until I get it fitted, to ensure I'm protected fully, but the problem is I wont get an appointment for almost a month but I know I can't cope on this Pill for that long as it will cause mental health issues with myself and will also cause problems with my boyfriend, so I'm considering going back to the last packet of my old Pill (Cilest) until I get the Coil.

My question is, if i begin my pill (Cilest) on the first day I'm due to take my next pill of Femodene will I be immediately covered? I had sex without a condom on Saturday (1st day of my break, 2 days ago) and I know I'm protected and will be if i take my pill when I'm due too, but will swapping pills make a difference to my protection?

I'm sorry if I've not made great sense but I'm hoping somebody can help me.

Thank you!
