Back in 2011 I had a dermoid cyst on one of my ovaries so I had to get one ovary removed. Since this my periods have been regular lasting about 5 days. I had the copper coil fitted on 24th April 2017 because I didn't want a hormonal contraceptive. But I got my period 2 weeks early and am on my sixth day with still heavy bleeding. I'm very conscious about keeping my only ovary healthy as I do want to have a family after my studies. What should I do?

The copper coil shouldn't affect your ovaries or fertility but can cause heavier or longer periods. Please find some more information here: fpa.org.uk/sites/default/fi.... If you are still concerned then visit your GP or a sexual health clinic for review.
