Herpes

Hi,

I'm a 19 year old female, I've had herpes simplex which wasn't from sexual health issues, for a long time after contracting it innocently from holiday, recently I have had sores on my mini. I have no idea how to feel, herpes has just taken over my life and I'd love to here from people that have similar issues with it 😟

I've had herpes simplex since i was a child, not had any concerns with it in adult hood apart from the odd cold sore when I'm stressed or run down. It's just something I live with and honestly it doesn't bother me

How do you contract herpes innocently?

I was in the sun and in some people it lies dormant under their skin from birth, which was the same as me and then I just happened to flare up! So the sun brought mine on

I am interested to find out once tests have been carried out is it possible to tell whether one contracted it sexually or non sexually? Anyone know?

That would be interesting! As because mine wasn't genital, mine was on my chest and torso.
