i have recently met a woman who informed me that recently she had treatment for genital warts by freezing them.if i have sex with this woman will i be infected with the virus.

No, but it is probably best to wait a week or so since the warts have been removed. You can only contract the virus when she is active with the warts

Hi. Genital warts come from the human papilloma virus. They are sexually transmitted. Once you acquire the virus, you always carry it and therefore can transmit it any time. However, you are much more likely to transmit it when you have visible warts, and the chances are reduced when the warts are not there. The best thing to do is to use condoms which will help protect you from the virus. Go to a GUM clinic if you have further questions and have an sexual health screen yourself to make sure you are not passing anything onto your partner.

Hi kerryblue I developed a wart totally out of the blue, and I have only had sex with my wife, she doesn't have any warts and insists she's always been faithful, we've been together over 30 years, could the virus have been there from a partner before we got together ?
