i have warts but skin doctor misdiagnosed as skin tags help

hi i have a problem...i have anal warts ...doctor did a swab and came positive for hpv..im sure its an infection as i had sex before and it came with lots of itching...but skin doctor.(another doctor this) said its skin tags...and he refered me to surgery by writing its skin tags...what will happen if he was wrong? do i have to wait longer for surgery..cause he wrote skin tags or it doesnt make any difference waiting? im sure its HPV not skin tags

Sorry to hear that you are still troubled with the warts.

I remember you saying that you were tested and found to have HPV 16. As we said at the time, HPV-16 doesn't generally cause genital warts. So it is possible they are something else. It's also possible you have more than one problem going on, warts and skin tags.

If you have not responded to the Warticon, cryotherapy or Aldara, then surgery is going to be the next thing.

Are these lesions being managed by a sexual health clinic? They really are the best people to do so as they have the most experience. bashh.org/clinics

im 100% its warts not skin tags..yeah iv tried everything only surgery will do...as it has killed my emotions and sex life..its my 21month i still pray and keep hoping that i will be in the 24months.that immune system clears it read a lot of studies online .living with this is just horrible. also i dont have diabetes,hiv etc so my immune shall be strong and being only 19years right? thanks for d help

Sounds like you're having a bad time of it. Surgical treatment of warts and skin tags is exactly the same. I'm guessing the doctor that referred you won't be doing the surgery so you'll have a second opinion from the anal surgeon doing the procedure.

Even if you have no major problems with the immune system just simple things like stopping smoking and exercising can give it the boost that's needed.

If the lesions are skin tags that may be why they aren't responding. Either way sounds like you have been referred to the right person for assessment so don't worry it will all get sorted eventually, but I know it can be really frustrating.

If u r warts the doctor will use medicine and apply on the warts but if it is big the doctor will excission.Don,t worried the doctor will see again.
