My little girl is 17 days old and seems to be cutting a front tooth. Is there anything I can try to give her a bit of relief

Wet a clean facecloth then put it in the freezer for a bit. Once it’s cold enough give her it to gum on.

Ours were much older before they cut teeth. On a night we give calpol to help with sleep (they seemed to suffer more on a night as nothing to distract from pain) but at such a young age you can’t do that. I’m not sure what age you can give things like Bongela or the Ashton & Parsons teething granules but if you ask your pharmacist they should be able to help.

What makes you think it’s teething? It isn’t unheard of but very rare for them to be teething at such a young age.

I run my finger ok her gums and you can feel the tooth and she only seems to settle when rubbing her gums. My first daughter was a lot older so going to speak to health visitor tomorrow x

Both ideas already given are good ones. You can also try placing a cold, not frozen, spoon on the tooth or a teething ring.
