Can you do a social story? Set out the boundaries before (like not hitting, picking up when they are little ect.)? Also let them bond in their own way. It may not be how you would expect.

Look them up. But they are like pictures and give you information on what to expect in an accessible manner (you may find uncle ones online) .

Just wondering why he won't be able to touch it come near? some other ideas are singing together, dancing (with you helping babie), making silly faces, hide and seal (when little this can just be behind a pillow or something) watching stuff together, getting him to help prep food (when babbies older) picking out outfits lots of different stuff.

Explaining before that you have to be gentle and practicing on a doll might help.
