Hi, I have SCA1 and recently I have noticed that it is very uncomfortable to keep my head up, if I could I would rest my head on a wall, it is also very tense. Have anyone else experienced this?

Yes I have! Spinocerebellar ataxia here too (SYNE-1 related). I have mentioned this to my neurologist before, but not much was said - it's a minor issue for me in the context of my condition at the moment. I am meaning to bring this up again when I next see her in October.
Regular neck exercises and stretches will help - speak to a health professional for some that are best suited to you.
I have cerebellar ataxia but I also have cervical dystonia and I think sometimes they can be linked. It might be worth looking into? (My head shakes & moves of it's own accord - I've had neck braces but found Botox injections useful). Ask your neurologist & see what they say. Good luck
