Nystagmus is difficult to manage, glasses don’t make any difference but there may be a medication that could help.

The goal is to help with the head tilt that often comes with nystagmus. Sometimes surgery improves vision, too. Some drugs may ease symptoms in adults but not children. My sister has nystagmus and has taken Baclofen to help but it comes with side effects such as hair thinning, but it seems as though they may need to increase the dosage or switch to something else. She also wears glasses but not for the nystagmus specifically. My opthalmology consultant is recommending mementine as I have been diagnosed with nystagmus as well.
